55g Reef Tank
In
I used the same setup techniques and equipment as usual: deep sandbed for
filtration, two empty power filters for water movement, a 300w heater, and
intially Normal Output (NO) flourescent lighting that came with the tank.
After the cycle finished, I added some liverock and then waited a few days
for the tank to equalize. One thing I did experiment and learn on this one
is that latex paint is fantastic for painting the background of the tank.
It dries both quickly and smoothly, while being extremely durable.
A tank tragedy several months ago unfortunately resulted in the
death of both Porky, and from complications of whatever occurred also my tomato clownfish. I have since added
two foster A. percula clownfish which quickly teamed up with my "lemon peel" angelfish (Centropyge), and they host in any of 3 green
bubble-tip anemones(E. quadricolor) that are recovering well within the rockwork of the right hand side.
Pictures
are being added as they are taken, and the pictures of Porky will stay indefinitely.
